Uppingham Film Night – Weds, June 8

You don’t need to drive for miles to enjoy a cinematic evening!

Every month, usually the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm, you can enjoy a big screen movie for just £5, right in the heart of Uppingham, at the Town Hall. The Film Club is run by local volunteers from the Uppingham Town Partnership, who enjoy quality movies in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This really is a sociable way to watch films with friendly people. Make yourself at home with free homemade nibbles, and certainly feel free to bring your own drinks, food and cushions. June 8, 7.30pm Uppingham Film Nights present “Spotlight”, the true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core.

The cast is a magnificent line up and includes Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Stanley Tucci, Billy Crudup, Brian d’Arcy James, Len Cariou, Jamey Sheridan. Rated R. Running time 129 mins.
